At the beginning of my journey, I carried an undeniable fear of teaching—a fear of not being enough, of making mistakes, of standing in front of learners with expectations in their eyes. But as I stepped into the classroom, that fear slowly transformed into purpose. I began to see teaching not as a performance, but as a relationship built on trust, curiosity, and growth. Growing up I never imagined myself teaching but as the time past by I realized why our God put me in this situation and in this program. I realized that maybe God wanted me to specialize in educating the youth and those that need education. In fact, there is a burning desire that is growing each day within me. I feel that I have a mission to fulfill and that is to teach. I believe teaching has a long- term impact to the lives of students that’s why I have to be good, knowledgeable teacher and prepared all the time.

I believe that teaching is a lifelong calling to share timeless knowledge—ideas, values, and truths that shape not only minds but hearts. It is about passing on wisdom that transcends textbooks and reaches into the lives of students, helping them make sense of the world and their place in it.

I also believe that every learner is unique. To teach is to explore—to adapt, to listen, and to respond to the diverse needs, backgrounds, and dreams of students. It is our responsibility to create spaces where every learner feels seen, valued, and empowered to grow.

Through this program I have learned that as a future educator I must have the following knowledge or skills:

1. Teacher as Knower- As teacher, we must know our students, how they learn and what interests them most.

2. Teacher as Resourceful- As teachers, we must not limit ourselves to what is in the given resources for teaching, as much as possible make the sky the limit.

3. Teacher as Innovative- As teachers, we must not settle to one strategy alone. I learned that sometimes you just have to tailor your teaching approach to students so that effective learning can happen.

4. Teacher as Communicator - As teacher, we must know how to communicate with our students. If language cannot connect you to your student, learn to find another way, like for example, if your voice, tongue and lips aren't enough for your students to understand you, use your sign language, use your eyes, and body languages to communicate.

5. Teacher as Lover- As teacher, we must love our students unconditionally. If your student doesn't understand you or your teaching practices don't work according to your plan, it doesn't mean that it will be the end. As teachers, we must think and re-think on how to cater the diversity of students that sometimes requires unconditional love.

Teaching is no longer something, I fear. It is something I love. It is a journey of continuous learning, deep reflection, and meaningful connection.
