SEA-Teacher Pre-service student exchange in SOUTHEAST asia

The SEA-Teacher Project, initiated by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat (SEAMEO Secretariat), offers pre-service student teachers from universities across Southeast Asia the opportunity to gain invaluable teaching experience through international exchange. This initiative aims to:

  • Enhance Teaching Skills: Provide hands-on classroom experience to develop effective teaching methodologies.​

  • Improve English Proficiency: Encourage the use of English in diverse educational settings.​

  • Broaden Perspectives: Expose future educators to different cultures and educational systems.​

  • Foster Adaptability: Prepare teachers to thrive in varied teaching and learning environments.

Initially, applicants are required to prepare essential documents, such as a formal letter of intent. This is followed by interviews or screening sessions, which assess the candidate’s suitability for the program. Subsequently, applicants must demonstrate their teaching ability through a practical evaluation.
